Not legal advice. ReStep is not a law firm. Using ReStep does not create an attorney-client relationship. It does not prepare or file bankruptcy documents, represent anyone, or decide which legal action is appropriate for a case.

For advice about your circumstances, contact a bankruptcy attorney. For payment and ledger questions, contact your Chapter 13 trustee's office.

Your personal record

Based on your records; the trustee's ledger is the official record. Dates, amounts, status, and reminders depend on what you enter and your device settings. Compare your entries with official records and your current plan documents.

ReStep does not send payments or verify receipt by a trustee. Additional amounts are shown separately and do not automatically fill later monthly payments in the app. This is an app calculation rule, not a statement about how your trustee applies payments.

Limits of the tool

Content and local rules can change. ReStep does not guarantee a case result, discharge, credit-score change, or removal of credit information. A reminder is a convenience and may be affected by notification permissions or device settings.

Keeping your records

Keep a password-protected backup when you need one. ReStep cannot recover a forgotten backup password or records lost after removing the app. Restoring a backup replaces your current records and turns app lock off; review the preview and enable app lock again if needed.

Outside websites

Links lead to sites run by other organizations. Those organizations control their content and privacy practices. ReStep does not endorse a specific attorney or payment provider.
